Jewitte Dooley
About
Jewitte Dooley is the founder of Jewitte Dooley Law, a firm dedicated to guiding clients through some of life's most challenging moments with honesty and genuine care. Practicing in Family Law and Criminal Defense, Jewitte brings a combination of legal insight, financial knowledge, and personal insight to every client she serves.
Jewitte grew up in Lexington and is deeply committed to community. There is something meaningful about representing your neighbors, and Jewitte has never taken that responsibility lightly.
Jewitte earned a B.S. in Accounting — with Honors — from the University of South Carolina in 2005, before going on to earn her Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2008. That accounting background is more than a footnote on a résumé. In family court, financial matters are often at the heart of the most contested issues.
After law school, Jewitte served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the late Honorable R. Knox McMahon of the 11th Judicial Circuit, an invaluable experience that informs her work every day. Jewitte went on to join Davis Frawley, where she practiced in Family Law and Criminal Defense and rose to partner.
Jewitte made the decision to open Jewitte Dooley Law in 2014. That decision was not about hanging a shingle — it was about building a practice grounded in her own values: personal attention and straight talk. At Jewitte Dooley Law, clients are not a file number. They are real people navigating real issues that carry real weight — usually some of the most difficult times in a person's life. Jewitte understands that, and she shows up accordingly — prepared, accessible, and in your corner.
On a personal note, Jewitte is an adoptive parent, and adoption is something she holds close to her heart. She knows firsthand how profoundly a family can be built through love, commitment, and a process that, while sometimes daunting, changes lives in the most beautiful way.
Jewitte is admitted to practice before the South Carolina Bar and the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina. She is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association and the Lexington County Bar Association. Jewitte has been named one of the Legal Elite of the Midlands for 2026 by Columbia Business Monthly.
